The DAO

A market you can own with your neighbors.

DAO stands for decentralized autonomous organization. In plain words: a community that shares a treasury and makes decisions by voting, with the rules written in code that anyone can inspect.

What a DAO is

A DAO is an organization that lives on a blockchain. Its rules are smart contracts — programs that execute exactly as written. There is no head office and no single owner: the people who hold the governance token propose changes and vote on them. You don't have to trust anyone's word, because every rule and every decision is public and verifiable.

What Values DAO is

Values DAO is a community that owns and governs the Values Index — one token, $VALUES, that holds a diversified basket of the leading on-chain assets. Members decide the methodology together: what enters the basket, how it is weighted, when it rebalances.

Why do it together

Picking coins alone is stressful and easy to get wrong. A shared, rules-based basket spreads risk across the market and takes the daily decisions off your plate. Doing it as a community keeps the rules honest: no quiet changes, no insider levers — just proposals, votes and on-chain records.

How to take part

Hold $VALUES and you hold the basket. Stake it — the staked form is called sVALUES — and you take part in governance: proposing, discussing and voting on how the index evolves. The app for buying, staking and voting is in development.
