Governance

Governance

Governance is how the village decides. Changes to the index or the treasury follow one open path: a written proposal, a discussion, a vote, and an on-chain record.

Proposals

Any member with sVALUES — the staked form of $VALUES — can put forward a proposal: a written description of the change, its context and its trade-offs. Proposals are public from the moment they are posted.

Voting

sVALUES holders vote on each proposal during a fixed voting window. Votes are cast and counted on-chain, so the result can be verified by anyone — including people who voted against it.

Execution

Approved proposals are executed under the DAO's smart-contract rules, and the execution itself is an on-chain record. Nothing changes quietly.
